1. Background:
Social Network for Justice and Development (SNJD) is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making organization established in 2008 with its headquarter in Jhapa District of Nepal. SNJD is executing projects on humanitarian assistance, disability, community development, gender sensatization, conservation of natural resources, and environmental protection. SNJD has made partnership with Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Nepal, Australian Embassy & UNDP Nepal and implementing different sectorial short and long term projects.
SNJD, in collaboration with the Rural Municipality, aims to conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) session focused on gender sensitization for school teachers. This initiative is designed to equip teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct gender sensitization classes in schools, fostering an environment of equality and respect.
2. Objective:
- To empower school teachers with comprehensive training on gender sensitization.
- To enable teachers to effectively deliver gender sensitization classes to students.
- To promote an inclusive educational environment that supports gender equality.
3. Scope of Work:
The selected trainer(s) will be responsible for:
- Developing a detailed curriculum for the ToT, which includes interactive activities, teaching strategies, and assessment methods.
- Conducting a multi-day training workshop for a select group of school teachers.
- Providing post-training support to teachers as they implement gender sensitization classes.
4. Deliverables:
- A comprehensive training manual on gender sensitization tailored for school teachers.
- Execution of a 3-day ToT workshop for school teachers.
- A report evaluating the initial impact of the training, including feedback from participants and recommendations for further action.
5. Timeline:
The ToT should be completed within 15 days from the date of contract signing, with specific dates for deliverables agreed upon at the start of the project.
6. Trainer Qualifications:
- A current and updated CV showcasing proven experiences and expertise of relevant nature of work.
- Proven expertise in gender studies, education, or a related field.
- Experience in conducting training and capacity-building workshops, preferably with a focus on gender issues.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to develop and implement interactive and engaging training content.
7. Budget:
A detailed budget should be submitted by the trainer(s), including fees, and any other expenses related to the delivery of the training (Stationary, logistic management will be manage from SNJD). The budget must be approved by SNJD before the commencement of the project.
8. Reporting:
The trainer(s) will report directly to a Program Coordinator from SNJD for logistical and administrative support.
9. Application Process:
Interested trainers are required to submit a proposal that includes:
- A detailed outline of the training program.
- A detailed budget.
- Trainer’s CV and references.

10. Evaluation and Selection:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the trainer’s expertise, the comprehensiveness of the training plan, cost-effectiveness, and references. The successful candidate will be notified from SNJD.
